Camden, a picturesque country town in the Macarthur Region, part of the Greater Sydney Metropolitan area, boasts a myriad of chic Cafes that fuel its booming coffee market.
Locals wear the title of ‘coffee snob’ with pride, frequenting their favourite cosy haunts daily to sit, relax and savour the perfectly brewed cup of coffee.
If you’re visiting the region and looking for the perfect brew, there’s no doubt you’ll be overwhelmed by choice; and with the skyrocketing price of beans, we don’t want you forking out for a brew you’ll regret, so we’ve compiled a list of the top 4 x spots for coffee in Camden for the discerning coffee connoisseur looking for the perfectly crafted pick-me-up.
Squeeze & Grind

Squeeze & Grind, situated in Camden Village Court, off Argyle Street, is a light-filled cafe serving a range of delicious meals for breakfast and lunch. From Smoked Salmon Eggs Benny & Hipster Bowls for breaky to Fried Chicken Burgers, chips and a cheeky cocktail for lunch, you won’t leave hungry.
If you’re looking for a relaxed family vibe or a chilled catch up with friends, this is the place. You can choose to sit inside or opt for a seat outside on a warmer day, surrounded by greenery in the large courtyard.
Seven Miles beans & talented baristas pair for a delicious cup of coffee. The Dirty Chai is particularly good and we highly recommend the Mocha for those with a bit of a sweet tooth, as the molten Belgium chocolate, coupled with a kick of caffeine will definitely get the heart started!
This place gets packed out on weekends, so if you’re looking to be seated quickly for a leisurely bite, we recommend arriving early for breaky (before 8am) or late for lunch (after 1:30pm).
Jally’s

Jally’s is a cute little hideaway with indoor & alfresco seating tucked in Larkin Street behind the Royal Hotel in Camden. It’s known for its rustic ambience and delicious, diverse menu packed with lots of healthy & colourful options like Acai Bowls, Protein Bowl, Smoothies & Salads, along with your heartier mains like loaded toasties and burgers.
Before transforming into Jally’s in 2017, the space served as the garage for a local chemist. The café pays homage to Camden’s rich history, with walls adorned with vintage photographs that reflect its status as one of Australia’s oldest towns.
Baristas skillfully serve up brews made from locally produced craft coffee suppliers and the drinks menu is just as diverse as the food, including Beetroot & Matcha Lattes and Dirty Tumerics for those feeling a little experimental.
Marcos

One of Camden’s newest additions to the café and restaurant scene is Marcos Cafe, Bistro & Pizzeria. Housed in the space that once belonged to Enzo’s Camden – an iconic local favourite that closed after COVID; the new owners make excellent use of the large, open interior and vine-covered courtyard, twinkling with fairy lights.
The coffee is full-bodied, with a creamy texture; each cup highlighting the beans’ natural depth.
This is a quiet, peaceful spot for a leisurely beverage or meal – the chicken quinoa salad perfect for a light, healthy lunch and the halloumi corn fritters serving as a more indulgent breakfast or brunch treat.
If you’re after a delicious Italian-style pizza, a perfectly cooked steak or an ample serving of ribs, Marcos are also open for dinner Thursday through Saturday from 5-9pm.
B85 Artisan Bakery

This is a shout out to the pastry-lovers. If you love all things crumbly, crispy and delicious with a side of coffee, B85 Artisan Bakery is going to be your go-to for croissants and coffee in Camden!
The flaky buttery croissants pair perfectly with a rich, full-bodied coffee – we recommend one of B85 Bakery’s sumptuously smooth lattes or your classic Cappuccino.
There’s usually a line out the door on weekends and the seating area is small, but the goodies inside are well worth the wait. If you’re looking for a close-by place to sit and savour your treats, grab your coffee and cake to-go and head over to Camden’s delightful Macarthur Park – soaking up the beautifully manicured gardens and fresh sunlight while you enjoy your coffee.
