… That’s the deal… Lancemore Hotels and Melbourne wellness label Orans have put together with The Slow Season, a new outdoor sauna experience now running at two of Victoria’s best regional properties – Lancemore Milawa in the High Country and Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula.

What Is The Slow Season Sauna Experience?
While the promotion may wrap up this weekend, the Slow Season experience runs until 31 October 2026, giving you plenty of time to book in a proper reset – which feels timely, with Mental Health Month landing in October and giving most of us a nudge to actually slow down for once.
Milawa’s version sits out among the vines – sunrise sessions with High Country hills rolling out in every direction, followed by a wander through the region’s cheese and wine trail before you inevitably end up back at the sauna anyway. Lindenderry’s take is a Mornington Peninsula afternoon-into-evening thing: cellar doors, produce stores, then a sauna session that runs straight into dinner and a fire pit. Either way, the sauna itself is doing some heavy lifting on looks alone – carbonised walnut walls, cedar lining, architectural detailing that makes it look more like a design object dropped into the landscape than a wellness add-on.
Orans built its whole reputation on that – saunas and ice baths that read as furniture rather than gym gear.
Comms lead Sonia Rendigs said the aim with Lancemore was creating spaces where “slowing down already feels natural,” which, fair, has always been true of both these properties – Milawa’s High Country isolation and Lindenderry’s slower Peninsula pace were never exactly hustling.
Lancemore’s COO Stephen Moore called it a response to how people actually want to travel now: fewer bookings crammed into a day, more room to just sit still in a nice spot.
And as for us, well, we just consider it a genuine restorative ritual built into the stay – heat, quiet, and a change of pace that a lot of us could do with heading into the busier back half of the year.
