When it comes to skincare, knowing where something is made – and what goes into it – matters. Crafted in Australia using locally sourced ingredients, IKOU isn’t just skincare; it’s a daily ritual to transform everyday routines into simple, grounding moments of calm.
Your skin is the largest organ in the body, working quietly to protect you and regulate temperature every day. What we apply to it matters more than we often realise – which is why ingredient integrity sits at the heart of IKOU, from careful sourcing to thoughtful formulation.
Founded in 2007 in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, IKOU is grounded in a philosophy of clean beauty and transparency. Each product is organic, vegan and cruelty-free, made using wild-harvested Australian botanicals ethically sourced from pristine environments – chosen not only for their potency, but for long-term sustainability.
IKOU is more than just a product-range to nourish and rejuvenate your skin; it’s a deeply sensory experience – one that can be enjoyed in-store at IKOU’s Berry or Byron boutiques, or recreated at home through its thoughtfully curated products and rituals.
We visited the Berry Boutique to try out the 75-minute De-Stress Organic Facial.
Experience an IKOU Facial in Berry

Stepping into the Ikou Berry store is an experience in itself. It’s all natural stone and earthy tones set to a backdrop of tranquil music and it instantly envelopes you in a state of calm.
IKOU Berry has two deluxe treatment rooms – as you step inside for your treatment, you’re greeted with candles, a fluffy robe and a beautifully-warmed treatment bed where you’ll slip under the covers and feel your muscles start to instantly melt, even before your treatment begins.

If you’ve been stressed, overworked or overwhelmed, it’s probably been showing up in your skin. The De-stress Organic Facial has been specifically designed to calm and restore the facial skin – focusing on collagen regeneration to heal and rebuild elasticity.
The treatment starts with a double-cleanse, using the Recovery Face Cleansing Creme containing white flannel flower, organic rice milk and Australian desert lime. Deeply massaged into the face and decolletage, it smells tantalisingly edible and sets the tone for the treatment ahead.
This is followed by a white-clay desquamation exfoliant which is activated by small circular finger imprints across the entire face. It feels like a detailed facial finger-painting and is an unusual sensory experience that’s deeply relaxing – working in the background to slough off dead skin cells and draw out impurities.
Next you’ll experience a double-masque infusion of powerful antioxidants featuring native Australian Davidson Plum Oil with an acupressure facial massage to improve circulation, reduce puffiness and relieve stress.
The treatment is lifted to another level with a soothing aromatherapy scalp massage – releasing tension you didn’t even realise you were holding. The treatment concludes with a soothing upper-body massage infused with geranium, lavender and clementine, perfectly rounding out the ritual and leaving both body and mind profoundly relaxed.
Your skin will be left hydrated with the Phyto-Antixodant and Day Creme, containing camellia seed oil, kakadu plum and white flannel flower – locking in moisture and leaving you with a lasting glow for whatever lies ahead.
The team at IKOU Berry curated every detail of the visit, ensuring each moment of the experience felt tailored, intentional, soothing, and deeply restorative (shout out to Karen for her warmth and effortless expertise).
